Irish hunk Colin Farrell acted "like a baby towards his mother" when he first met actress Angelina Jolie on the set of Alexander, the film's director Oliver Stone reports.
Farrell plays Alexander, the King of Macedonia and Jolie plays his mother, Olympias, in the war epic - Stone was amazed by his casting, because Farrell acted like her son off-screen.
Stone explains: "He was all over her. He was like the Irish boy - he wasn't Alexander and he was just falling in love with her, couldn't help himself.
"I was thinking: 'It's the right choice, because he's behaving like a baby.'
"She (Jolie) was laughing at him. I don't know if actors sometimes act out their desires and he wanted to be the infant to her mother. It works."
