Vijay Singh fired a four-under-par 68 to move into a tie for the lead with Aaron Oberholser after three rounds of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in California.

Singh bogeyed his first two holes on the Pebble Beach course and had another bogey at the ninth, off-setting two birdies on the front nine.

But he exploded with five birdies in six holes beginning at the 11th and finished at 13 under on 203.

Oberholser had a bogey-free five-under 67 on Spyglass Hill, considered the toughest of the trio of courses.

Britons Phillip Price (69) and second-round leader Luke Donald (72) are tied for third alongside Jeff Maggert (67) on 10 under.

Price and Maggert played at Pebble Beach, while Donald was at Poppy Hills.

Phil Mickelson, who has been the Tour's hottest player this season, shot a one-under 71 at Pebble Beach to move to nine under on 207.

Bill Glasson moved into contention with a nine-under 66 at Poppy Hills, creating a four-way tie at 208.

Masters champion Mike Weir shot a 66 and is in a three-way tie at 209.

Defending champion Davis Love III missed the cut at one-under 215.
