Patrick’s Day Skyfest to take place at Rock of Cashel

This year's St Patrick's Day fireworks display is due to take place at the Rock of Cashel in Co Tipperary.

This year's St Patrick's Day fireworks display is due to take place at the Rock of Cashel in Co Tipperary.

The move marks the first time the traditional Skyfest has been held outside of Dublin.

This year's St Patrick's Festival begins on March 13 and culminates in the annual Dublin parade on March 17.

It is expected to attract around 50,000 visitors and generate more than €60m for the economy.
