British pop star Jamelia was rushed into hospital after being crippled with stomach pains on a Spanish TV show on Thursday night.
The Superstar singer and mother-of-two had to be flown back to the UK where she had surgery to repair an umbilical hernia - a condition caused by childbirth.
The procedure was carried out on Friday at St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London.
Jamelia's manager, Jonathan Shalit, says: "She was in pain before flying to Spain but was determined to carry on with the trip."
The singer's fiance, soccer ace Darren Byfield, has been by her side while she recovers from the operation.
