Fine Gael's Education spokeswoman Olwyn Enright has married party colleague Senator Joe McHugh today.

The ceremony took place in Birr, Co Offaly. 250 guests joined in the celebrations and Deputy Enright's father, Tom - himself a former Fine Gael TD, led her up the aisle.

Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny was not present due to a prior engagement.
