Rangers goalkeeper Stefan Klos could be forced to miss his planned farewell appearance due to a dislocated finger.
Walter Smith hopes to field the German against Kilmarnock on Sunday to allow supporters to give him a send-off in their final Bank of Scotland Premier League home game of the season.
But Smith has revealed that the 35-year-old, who will retire at the end of the campaign, is battling injury.
The Rangers manager is also awaiting news on the fitness of striker Dado Prso, who is hoping to recover from tonsilitis in time to make his Ibrox swansong.
Smith told Rangers World: “We hope to give a show to both Stefan Klos and Dado Prso in the final home game because they have both been great servants to the club for the period of time that they have been here.
“Unfortunately, Stefan dislocated his thumb in training last Friday and that meant he couldn’t be involved in the Celtic game.
“We will have to see how that clears up but we hope that it would be all right to enable him to have some of the action.
“Dado missed the Celtic game with tonsilitis but he is improving and we think he will be okay for next weekend.
“It will be nice for both of them to feature in the last home game of the season.”
Klos became a firm favourite with the Rangers support after signing from Borussia Dortmund in 1998.
But knee and shoulder injuries restricted him to a handful of games in the past two-and-a-half years and he announced his intention to quit earlier in the season.
Croatian striker Prso, 32, is also ending his spell at Rangers on fitness grounds, with knee trouble forcing him to wind down his career after three seasons at Ibrox.
