Paul Nicholls paraded totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Kauto Star through the streets of Ditcheat as the celebrations from Friday’s scintillating victory continue into the weekend.
The blue-riband winner, who netted on Betfair Bonus with his power-packed display under Ruby Walsh, is reported to be in rude health following his two-and-a-half length romp.
Nicholls’ assistant Dan Skelton said: “He is totally sound this morning and pulled out in good order.
“What he has achieved this season has been remarkable and we all went down The Manor to celebrate last night.
“The skittle alley was opened up and there were 300 people in there, although it wasn’t too late of a night!
“The horse was paraded though the village this morning along with our other three winners and everyone turned out to see them.”
Kauto Star is not expected to run again this season and is a 2-1 shot to return to Cheltenham and land the Gold Cup for a second time next March.
