More than 600 Irish people are on their way to Edinburgh to add their voices to the Make Poverty History protests.

More than 600 Irish people are on their way to Edinburgh to add their voices to the Make Poverty History protests.

They are headed to the site of this week’s G8 meetings via Belfast.

Lorna Gold from Trocáire said: "The atmosphere here in Edinburgh is building - since yesterday afternoon, people were beginning to gather on the Meadows (a huge park in the centre of the City)."
