Kermit the Frog is getting a coveted spot in the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.
The Muppets character joins Martin Scorsese, Kevin Bacon and Susan Sarandon in having his name engraved on a star along Hollywood Boulevard.
The 2003 Walk of Fame recipients in the film category include Bacon, Robert Duvall, Sarandon and Scorsese.
Television honorees include Beau Bridges, Drew Carey, Kermit and the Osmond Family.
Michael Bolton and Carole King will be honoured in the recording category and Betty Garrett and Doris Roberts for live theatre performances.
Recipients were chosen from hundreds of nominations and ratified by the Chamber's Board of Directors.
Each year there are at least 300 requests, from fan clubs, publicists and others, for the 15-20 stars that go to famous names.
To be given the honour, a celebrity must have achieved fame in movies, television, radio, music or live performance.
They must also pay around €18,000 for the honour which covers the dedication ceremony and the making of the star.
And another requirement is that they attend the dedication ceremony - unless, of course, the award is a posthumous one.
