Taliban says 'tens of people' killed in US attacks

Afghanistan’s Taliban Government has claimed that "tens of people" have already been killed in two consecutive nights of US attacks on their country.

Afghanistan’s Taliban Government has claimed that "tens of people" have already been killed in two consecutive nights of US attacks on their country.

Taliban Ambassador to Pakistan, Abdul Salam Saeef, said the casualties occurred during the bombing of Kabul, Kandahar, Jalalabad, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif and Kunduz.

Saeef denounced the US for carrying out the attacks rather than negotiating the fate of Osama bin Laden, the man accused of orchestrating last month’s attacks in the United States.

"We ask America to produce solid proof instead of allegations, but America is sending warplanes, bombs and cruise missiles in place of evidence," he said. "This is open terrorism."
