Derry City 3 Bray Wanderers 1

Eamonn Doherty hit a brace as FAI Cup winners Derry got back to winning ways.

Derry took the lead after seven minutes when Sean Hargan, normally a left back but playing up front, punished a defensive error by Philip Keogh to shoot past Bray keeper John Walsh.

Walsh then allowed a 20-yard shot from Eamonn Doherty squirm from his grasp and drop into the net to extend City's lead four minutes into the second half.

City captain Doherty then added his second of the night to kill off Bray on 66 minutes before Eamonn Zayed got the visitors' consolation goal 12 minutes from time.
