A 36-year-old man is being treated in hospital in Belfast this morning after a punishment attack overnight.

A 36-year-old man is being treated in hospital in Belfast this morning after a punishment attack overnight.

The man was found in Carr's Lane Park with gunshot wounds to his right leg.

The incident comes as the RUC investigate a pipe bomb attack on a house on Lothair Avenue in Belfast early this morning.

The device was thrown into the house causing blast damage, but there are no reports of injuries.
