Man phoned in-pursuit officers to say 'leave me alone'

A US man phoned police officers pursuing him and told them to "leave him alone".

Chief Deputy Sheriff Rigby, reading from the deputy's report, revealed the officials went on a 30-mile chase to catch the 20-year-old man for speeding and in the meantime he rang 911 and informed the operator he "was not going to stop" and explained they needed to "leave him alone", KSL.com reports.

The emergency service operator then relayed the message to the police officers pursuing the man.

He also called his dad to tell him what was happening and he tried to get his son to stop, which he eventually did just short of a police tyre spikes trap.
