Trimble a doubt for Drogs

Drogheda United and Bohemians go head to head in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Hunky Dorys Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

Drogheda United and Bohemians go head to head in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Hunky Dorys Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

United lost a nine-goal thriller to UCD last week in a game that saw them concede three goals in the final 10 minutes.

Dave Rogers returns from suspension to bolster the Drogheda defence, while Stephen Trimble is a doubt having picked up a knock midweek.

United boss Mick Cooke said: “I guess both myself and Martin Russell will be unhappy with the defending last week, it was real schoolboy stuff and it's something I will need to cut out for Friday night. There were probably more positives from my side in that game.

“Bohemians will be tough and they have an outside shot of the league and are still chasing a European spot, so they will have a lot to play for.

“But I reckon if we keep up our form from the last few weeks then we have a chance of getting something from the game.”

For Bohemians, Christy Fagan returns from suspension, giving manager Pat Fenlon selection dilemmas up front.

Defender Liam Burns also returns from suspension and midfielder Lee Dixon is back from Ireland Under-21 duty.
