Drogheda winger Ollie Cahill has urged his team-mates to get in the faces of Levadia Tallinn as his side attempts to keep its Champions League dreams alive.
The eircom League outfit will go into battle in Estonia tomorrow night defending a 2-1 first leg lead and knowing they will make the second qualifying round if they can avoid defeat at the Kadriorg Stadium.
Cahill, who equalised for the home side at Dalymount Park last week before Fahrudin Kudozovic snatched victory, knows his team will face a stern test in Tallinn, but is confident they can progress.
The 32-year-old, who is in line to play his 36th European game, said: “We have a good game plan, and although Levadia have some very talented players, it will be important that we do not stand off and give them room to play.”
Manager Paul Doolin will hope his side can reproduce their second-half performance of a week earlier from the off after being disappointed with elements of their display before the break.
Speaking at a press conference at the Hotel Meriton in Tallinn, he said: “We made mistakes which we were punished for, but we had a good opening 20 minutes and our second half performance was great.”
Doolin, who will again be without long-term absentee Brian Shelley, lost midfielder Shane Robinson to a knee ligament injury in the 1-0 defeat by Cork City at the weekend, while Paul Keegan will undergo a late fitness test, but is expected to be fit.
However, the manager has been boosted by the return to action of Shane Barrett after his own lay-off.
He said: “As soon as we knew that Robbo would be unavailable, we included Shane. He has been in full training and will give us another dimension on the left.”
