Two people have been arrested in Cork after 20 kilos of cocaine were seized in the South Mall area of the city.
A man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, both of whom are foreign nationals, are being held in Togher Garda station.
The haul, which has a street value of almost €1.5m, was discovered when gardaí from the National Drugs Unit stopped and searched a vehicle as part of an ongoing operation.
The operation also involved police from the North, Scotland and the Netherlands.
