Financial stocks held or gained ground today to help keep the ISEQ in positive territory at the end of day's trade.
The FTSE overall was up 20.44 points to 5961.62.
AIB climbed 11 cent today, to close at €14.22. Irish Life and Permanent was close behind in terms of value gained, up nine cent to €13.60.
Bank of Ireland gains were more modest, with stock up two cent to €11.02, while Anglo Irish Bank held steady at €15.80.
Meanwhile, Ryanair stock was up seven cent to €5.12 after the airline today celebrated carrying nearly half a million more passengers than BA in Europe during October.
