A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a father in front of his partner and young son in Dublin three years ago.

A 29-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a father in front of his partner and young son in Dublin three years ago.

Eugene Cullen, of Derry Road Crumlin, appeared in Dublin District Court this morning and was remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.

He is charged with the murder of 27-year-old Shay O'Byrne who was shot dead in the driveway of his home at Tymon Park North in Tallaght in March 2009.

His partner, Sharon Rattigan, was also shot in the leg during the attack.
