The Irish seal sanctuary is celebrating a Christmas homecoming for four lucky seals this afternoon.

Two seals are being released into St Helen's Bay, near Rosslare in Co. Wexford, and two others will be set free near Wicklow town.

They are the first in a series of releases into the Irish Sea over the next two months by the seal sanctuary.

Spokesman Terry Flanagan says it is a happy occasion in the run up to Christmas.
