Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is set to star in 'Max Max: Fury Road'.

The model-and-actress - who made her big screen debut in 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' last year - will play one of the five wives in the action movie with Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keogh and Adelaide Clemens also in the quintet, but the fifth wife is yet to be cast.

The 25-year-old beauty is to star alongside Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy and Nicholas Hoult in the reboot, which will be directed by George Miller.

Tom has grown a bushy beard to portray the titular character, Max Rockatansky, and Charlize recently shaved her hair into a short crop to play Furiosa, but she admits to being scared "s**tless" at the prospect of playing the role.

She recently said: "I feel like the original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me.

"George really created a female character that I've never read anything like this. I mean, I'm scared sh**less!"

'Mad Max: Fury Road' is due to start shooting in the summer after a two-year delay because of production setbacks, and while Charlize - who was originally cast in 2009 along with Tom - is terrified about the project she is also "very excited" about finally starting work on the movie.

Charlize added: "I'm very excited about it; I'm f*****g dying! It's been three years; it's time to skin this cat already!"
