Michael Stipe has revealed that actress Shirley MacLaine called security when he confessed to her that he'd had a dream about her.
The REM frontman, who was a huge fan of her work, says he was "heartbroken" after his admission to the 70-year-old actress who stars in the upcoming 'Bewitched' with Nicole Kidman. He thought she'd get a laugh out of it but when she called security he apologised and backed away.
The 45-year-old singer has also been talking about his homosexuality and admits he was first attracted to men actively when he was 13.
He even auditioned for the role as Jack Nicholson's gay neighbour- ultimately given to Greg Kinnear - in 'As Good As It Gets'.
