Hollywood beauty Naomi Watts regrets not having children before she began her acting career.
The 37-year-old star, who is currently dating The Manchurian Candidate actor Live Schreiber, had her first bout of success in 2001 with the movie thriller Mulholland Dr, and wishes she could have hit the big time when she was much younger.
She says: "I wish I could have happened a little bit sooner, I'm not going to lie to you, because it sort of delays everything, as you could imagine.
"I have wanted a family since I was 19 - certainly to have children.
"But I think that's something every woman wants - so it's a bit annoying when I read articles that say 'she's desperate for marriage and children'.
"It's just a natural urge for a woman to have kids. You look forward for these things to happen and if it doesn't happen then its my cross to bear."
