Merkel to visit Greece

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel is to visit Greece for the first time since the eurozone crisis erupted.

Ms Merkel's trip to Athens next week comes as Greece warns it will run out of money at the end of November without fresh international aid.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras said Dr Merkel's visit is a "very positive development" as Greece negotiates with the troika which is currently holding back €31.5bn worth of bailout loans.
