Catholic Church compiles album of 'suitable' wedding music

The Catholic Church in Dublin has reportedly compiled an album of music suitable for use at wedding ceremonies.

The Catholic Church in Dublin has reportedly compiled an album of music suitable for use at wedding ceremonies.

Reports this morning said the album, due to be launched this evening, was compiled in response to growing clerical unease with some of the pop songs requested by couples for their wedding.

The church is opposed to the playing of such songs at wedding ceremonies and believes many couples choose songs without thinking about the meaning of the words.
