A teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning after a swimming accident in Co Cork yesterday evening.

A teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning after a swimming accident in Co Cork yesterday evening.

The boy got into difficulty while swimming in the River Blackwater near Knocknagree shortly before 6pm yesterday.

He was rushed to Kerry General Hospital where his injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
