Shamrock Rovers maintained their revival with a double from winger Gary McCabe helping them to a 3-0 win at Drogheda United, their fourth victory on the spin.

Suspension and injury-hit Drogheda finally caved in as Rovers scored twice in quick succession, through McCabe and Sean O'Connor, in the 69th and 70th minutes. McCabe then sealed the win with his second four minutes later.

The striker was there again to score his eighth goal in seven games to double UCD's lead on 53 minutes when beating Cork keeper Mark McNulty from 30 yards.
