More than 35,000 nurses have completed voting this afternoon in an INO ballot on the reduction of their working week from 39 to 37.5 hours.

The results are expected sometime after 6pm this evening. Results from a similar ballot carried out by the PNA balloting will not be known until June 5.

The settlement proposes a shorter working week, but stipulates that nurses must deal with their pay claim through benchmarking.
