Tottenham’s veteran Noureddine Naybet has agreed to stay at White Hart Lane for a further season.
The 35-year-old Moroccan defender had been linked with a move to Qatar and even though the Londoners missed out on a place in Europe in the ‘Fair Play’ draw last week, Naybet has confirmed he will not be leaving.
Naybet confirmed: “I have made up my mind to stay for another season. I am happy in London and I do not want to change.
“The option of playing Qatar has arisen several times, but it never came to anything.
“I still have enough years left in me in the English league. All the players believe Tottenham is a good enough team to get into the UEFA Cup next year and we will prove it.”
