Nightclubs across the country are taking part in a push to get young people to nominate designated drivers.

Nightclubs across the country are taking part in a push to get young people to nominate designated drivers.

Tonight is 'European Night Without Accident' which is being run in 220 clubs in 27 countries across Europe, including Ireland.

Clubs in counties Meath, Donegal, Kildare, Mayo, Waterford and Carlow are taking part in the initiative which will see designated drivers being asked if they want to be breathalysed when leaving nightclubs tonight.
