Robinson - Kiwis can get better in scrum

New Zealand’s new line-out leader Keith Robinson is demanding more from the All Black pack despite their record win at Twickenham.

New Zealand’s new line-out leader Keith Robinson is demanding more from the All Black pack despite their record win at Twickenham.

The Kiwis defeated world champions England 41-20 but the recalled Waikato lock remained level-headed about his team’s much criticised set-pieces, and their work at the scrum.

“I am comfortable calling the lineouts,” he told the stuff.co.nz website. “I did it before I was injured, not for the All Blacks, but for Waikato and the Chiefs.

“But I’ll be a happy man once we get through a game, winning 100%. We didn’t get our right side up every scrum this week, so there’s still room for improvement.”

Robinson was not impressed by England in the scrum.

“The England boys are a bit bigger up front, and I’d say once the Voltaren wears off I’ll have a sore body,” he said.

“But I was maybe expecting a bit more physicalness out of them.”
