Barnet striker Wayne Purser scored one of the fastest hat-tricks in FA Cup history as the north London side booked a first-round clash with Carlisle United.
The former QPR man rattled up his three-timer in just five minutes, opening his account just past the half hour.
He doubled his tally less than 60 seconds later when the ball broke to him on the edge of the penalty area and a third came in the 39th minute as he raced down the left again and slid the ball past the advancing goalkeeper.
’’I didn’t know it was that quick to be honest. It was just nice to get the hat-trick,’’ said Purser.
‘‘It was nice just to score and to find out it was one of the quickest hat-tricks was even better.’’
