Aidan O’Brien has yet to make any decision regarding which race Powerscourt will contest at this year’s Breeders’ Cup meeting on October 30.

The four-year-old is due to line up in either the Turf race or the Classic after finishing third to Azamour in the Irish Champion Stakes last month.

“Powerscourt is working away and we are heading towards the Breeders’ Cup forfeit – both the Turf and the Classic are possibles for him,” O’Brien told the Racing Post.

“All his races have been on grass, and it would be taking a risk to run him on dirt, but which race he runs in has still to be discussed. We’ve also got to get him there first.”
