Ryanair soared 16c to €7.52 following their announcement of a new route from Dublin to Lodz, the second largest city of Poland.
The new route starts on April 4 next year and will operate twice weekly.
After a strong morning's trading the ISEQ rose 58.63 to 6999.4 points by 11am.
All the financials were in positive territory. Bank of Ireland rose 19c to €13.40, AIB rose 12c to €18.70, Irish Life and Permanent gained 10c to €15.80 and Anglo Irish Bank rose 8c to €11.85.
Pharmaceutical company Elan were one of the few shares that suffered losses, falling 7c to €8.73.
Construction company CRH rose 22c to €23.00.
