Minister for Enterprise Richard Bruton said today that he is confident Labour will support his proposals to change wage agreements.

Minister Bruton has addressed the Parliamentary Labour Party after furious opposition to his proposals to cut Sunday premium pay and make other reforms.

Labour members of Government will have to back or reject his proposals when they come before Cabinet next week.

"The important thing is that we get changes that will create the opportunity to have extra employment," said Minister Bruton.
