Gardaí probe death of woman in Midleton
Gardaí in Co Cork are investigating the death of a woman in Midleton.
The 57-year-old's body was found at her apartment in Baylick court in Midleton shortly before 10am this morning.
The apartment was immediately sealed off and the Office of the State Pathologist informed.
A garda technical team has also been called in to examine where the woman's body was found.
The woman is believed to be the mother to two adult children and gardaí are investigating whether she was assaulted prior to her death.
