Hollywood Golfer Rory McIlroy and Eddie McCormack of Galway are currently contesting the final of the Irish Amateur Close Championship in Westport Golf Club.

McIlroy – who played in last months Irish Open at Carton House – defeated Connor Doran of Banbridge with minimum fuss in the semi-final on a score of 4&3 while McCormack eased into the final on the back of a 3&2 win over Aengus McAllister of Portmarnock.
