SDLP leader Mark Durkan is due to meet officials from the British government in London today to discuss his party’s growing frustration with the ongoing impasse in the peace process.

Mr Durkan said he would also use the meeting to relay his disappointment with Britain’s decision to delay the holding of a public inquiry into the 1989 murder of Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane.

The two sides are also expected to discuss yesterday’s report from the Independent Monitoring Commission and the British government’s decision to cancel a fresh round of peace talks that were due to take place in London next week.
