Bruce Springsteen is joining a group of musicians campaigning against George W Bush in the US election race.
The rocker has announced fundraising concerts in nine critical states, alongside acts including Pearl Jam and the Dixie Chicks.
Calling themselves Vote For Change, the artists will play shows in 28 cities in October, ahead of the November election. Announcing the gigs, the legendary singer said: "I feel this is one of the most critical elections of my lifetime."
John Mellencamp and Jackson Browne will also join Springsteen on stage for up to six concerts a day during the tour. Money from the tour will go to America Coming Together - an anti-Republican group, campaigning ahead of the presidential election.
