ISEQ ends the week on positive note

The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended the week 44.78 points up on trading today, to 6,524.9.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares ended the week 44.78 points up on trading today, to 6,524.9.

The financials were mixed with Irish Life and Permanent stable at €14.30 and Anglo Irish Bank down 5c to €10.30. AIB was among the main movers, up 26c to €17.64 and Bank of Ireland saw their stock go up 10c t0 €13.40.

Food giant Kerry Group had the biggest gain of the day, up 39c to €20.64.

Building materials groups CRH was also a main mover, up 20c to €21.55 while housebuilder Abbey had a 11c rise to stand at €9.74.

Elsewhere, Elan had a 12c gain to end the week at €8.00.
