Crews working to restore power to 4,000 customers

More than 4,000 customers are still without electricity in the south-west and south-east of the country.

Crews have been working around the clock since last week's storm in an effort to restore power.

Cork was one of the worst hit areas, while some customers in remote areas are being warned they could be without electricity up until Friday.

Mary O'Mahony of ESB networks says good progress is being made on the repairs, but some customers in West Cork may face another night in the dark.
