Sniffer dog Ralph finds €1.5m of heroin at Rosslare

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Division, today seized 10.26kgs of heroin with a street value of around €1.54m at Rosslare Europort.

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Division, today seized 10.26kgs of heroin with a street value of around €1.54m at Rosslare Europort.

Following routine profiling, Revenue’s sniffer dog Ralph, gave a positive reaction on a vehicle that had disembarked a ferry from France.

A Mercedes Jeep was scanned by the Customs X-Ray scanner, which indicated an anomaly, and the drugs were found concealed in the vehicle.

A Dutch national in his 60s has been arrested and will be taken to Wexford garda station.
