Cable & Wireless have today announced the appointment of Sean Mahon as its Ireland Business Director.
This new position gives Sean responsibility for the Cable & Wireless' business operations across Ireland.
His appointment follows the promotion of Noreen O'Hare to the position of Director of Europe for Cable & Wireless.
Sean's primary responsibility will be to drive business growth for Cable & Wireless in Ireland. He will work closely with his European colleagues to define and develop business strategies, and will oversee their implementation in Ireland.
Sean will manage the roll-out of new high quality IP services designed for large business and public sector customers.
With over twenty-years' experience in the IT, communications and government sectors; Sean has a very strong understanding of the needs of enterprise customers. In his most recent role as Client Director of Steria, he was a leading member of the team that successfully tendered and implemented Records NI for the Northern Ireland Civil Service.
This is the largest electronic document and records management implementation in Europe.
Sean currently holds a number of director positions with public bodies, most notably as Non-Executive Director of the Central Service Agency with the Department of Health and Social Services in Northern Ireland, Director of NI-CO (Invest NI wholly owned public body), and as a board member of St. Mary's University College, Belfast.
