Clare man suffers head injuries, gardaí investigate
A Co Clare man is in a critical condition in hospital after he suffered serious head injuries on the main street in Lisdoonvarna.
A passer-by discovered the local man in his 50s lying on the ground on Main St Lisdoonvarna shortly after 2am today.
Gardaí in Ennistymon are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
The man is undergoing emergency surgery in Cork this afternoon.
