Britain's most tattooed man has had his name changed to Mr Body Art.

Britain's most tattooed man has had his name changed to Mr Body Art.

The 33-year-old guy – who was formerly known as Matt Whelan and is also known as the King of Inkland – has had his moniker altered by deed poll after getting 80% of his skin inked, as well as one of his eyeballs.

He said: "People who do what I do treat their body like a temple. Like Christians have Jesus, we have our bodies.

"For my eyeball, I went to the opticians beforehand and got several opinions.”

Mr Body Art – a former wrestler who also volunteers for the Liberal Democrats political party - has now spent £20,000 and at least 300 hours getting tattoos done.
