A car bomb exploded in the Basque regional capital of Vitoria early today but no-one was injured.

A car bomb exploded in the Basque regional capital of Vitoria early today but no-one was injured.

Police said they received telephoned warnings before the blast, which happened at 5am Irish time, said reports.

The explosion in front of the Vitoria courthouse started fires in several surrounding vehicles.
