Blues continued to impress as they gave City the fright of their lives in the first big Munster derby in five years.

Alan Reilly hit a stunning 25-yarder to give Jimmy McGeough's newly promoted side the lead on 52 minutes.

Cork fought their way back into the match but needed a penalty to level on 68 minutes after John O'Flynn was taken down by David Breen.

O'Flynn's penalty was parried by keeper Dan Connor but the City striker followed up to head home the rebound.
