Andy Myler scored a priceless second half penalty as Drogheda gave

themselves a lifeline in their quest to avoid the play-off place.

Myler stroked home the spot kick after Stuart Taylor had been taken down by

Jim Crawford on 53 minutes.

It was the second twist in the game after Drogheda's Declan O'Brien had been

sent off six minutes earlier for diving - his second bookable offence.

Drogheda must now win their finall match at home to St. Pat's on Sunday and

hope that either Dery City or UCD don't win at Bohemians or Derry City

respectively to avoid having to play-off with the three First Divison clubs.
