Murphy and Cowen to meet in Dublin

Northern Secretary Paul Murphy is due in Dublin today for a British-Irish intergovernmental conference at Farmleigh House.

Northern Secretary Paul Murphy is due in Dublin today for a British-Irish intergovernmental conference at Farmleigh House.

Mr Murphy and Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen are expected to discuss the stalled Irish peace process, particularly promised legislation on policing to bring the PSNI more into line with the Patten proposals.

Mr Murphy is also due to visit the centre for reconciliation in Glencree, Co Wicklow, and the Shankill peace project in south Dublin.
