Paradise Poker operator 888 today said it had seen its best month’s trading since the group was forced to pull out of the US last year.
The online gaming firm said September’s strong performance came amid a 37% leap in net gaming revenues to $52.5m (€36.4m) during the traditionally quieter third quarter.
The group, which lost more than half its revenues in an enforced US exit a year ago following legislation outlawing online gambling, added that current trading so far in October was even stronger.
The firm’s performance has been boosted by a UK advertising campaign, the launch of a gaming site in Italy and a partnering deal with Tower Torneos to develop sites for the Latin American market.
