Man dies in Dungarvan road accident

A man in his 50s was killed in a road collision in Dungarvan in Co Waterford tonight.

A man in his 50s was killed in a road collision in Dungarvan in Co Waterford tonight.

Gardaí at Tramore Garda Station are investigating the crash which occurred around 4.30pm at Lemybrien.

The man was killed when the car he was driving was in collision with another vehicle.

A passenger in the first car, and the occupants of the other vehicle, were taken to Waterford Regional Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The road was closed off and diversions were put in place in the area in the aftermath of the crash.
